Nel 1967 il grande costumista Piero Tosi realizza gli abiti per la sfilata di moda del film “Toby Dammit” di Federico Fellini in “Tre passi nel delirio”.
Il cinema libero e visionario arriva prima della moda a usare l’abbigliamento dei cosmonauti, la plastica e le paillettes per disegnare il fashion spaziale della fine degli anni ‘60.
Piero Tosi un genio ma che grazie alla superba capacità artigianale delle Sartoria Annamode, delle Sorelle Allegri, riesce a comporre una sfilata per cui lo stesso Fellini si alzò in piedi dicendo Magnifica!
Le Sorelle Allegri riuscirono a cucire la plastica mettendoci dentro la carta sperimentavano come fanno ancora a Roma.
Quanto ci piacerebbe portare Chalayan in quella sartoria ai piedi dei Musei Vaticani!

The unfettered and visionary cinema anticipated fashion in using astronautical clothes, plastic materials and paillettes as instruments to design the space fashion at the end of the ’60.
Piero Tosi was a genius and with the help of the skilled Annamode fashion house, owned by the Allegri sisters, was able to create such a great fashion show that Fellini had to stand up and say out loud: “Magnificent!”
The Allegri sisters experimented different sewing methods and were able to sew plastic materials with paper inside.
How great would it be to take Chalayan in that fashion house at the foot of the Vatican Museums!
